The Curly Girls Guide to Going Natural:: Don't be Afraid of the Kitchen

LOL. No pun intended.

So you've decided to grow out your relaxer/chemical straighteners and embrace the volume nature gave you? Kudos to you!
No one said it'd be easy but anything worth having takes some work and loving care. Why would it be different for your hair?  :)

I've been moved to start this series on my beauty blog to constantly give you girls pick me ups and hopefully introduce a new way to keep your tresses tame and manageable.
Today's pick won't warrant a trip to the local superstore or beauty supply, its right in your kitchen cabinet!.. Olive Oil!.. Who doesn't love olive oil? its in that great body butter your use, that face cleanser that your love that leaves your skin soft and full of natural healthy oils.. Well Ladies, go straight to the source!!

After you finished that slammin' dinner grab that bottle and make a move to the sink to scrub up your tresses and give them a good soak of some warm Olive Oil. Especially on a day full of cleaning and fixing up your house give it some time to soak in under a plastic cap and you won't be disappointed.

Olive Oil has to be my fav because its the most versatile of the home hair care treatments. We all have different hair types so there's no definite path to chemical freedom that can be given for each and every one of us. We'll all have to adjust our regimens according to how our specific hair responds. But, Olive Oil is one of those things that crosses all lines, Everybody, Anybody, and their Mama, Grandma and Little brother with the long hair that everybody keeps braiding even though that baby's hair could be cut and save a lot of time..  lol.; can use it to have thoroughly conditioned (not greasy) hair!!.. I just think Olive Oil is awesome and it sure is good with some Italian seasoning a fresh Parmesan to dip my bread.. umm umm goodness!  :)

Stay Tuned for more random rants about my love affair with natural hair care.. Until then,

Peace ~Love
