Valentines Day Countdown Part III

Who envies the girl who's got her own??.. Neo wrote a song about her, Miss Independent got the house, the car, the banging wardrobe. Career Woman on the move! Always at the hottest events, being glam is so much fun..But all work and no play, blah blah blah.. ;o) So maybe lets try the reverse for you. If you're married or single, mommy of many or none a girl gota take time to relax and I'm down for any excuse to relax. Let V~Day be that excuse..

Take some time to enjoy your home. Especially if you are living in that dream house you always wanted, make good use of that house/apartment that you pay all that hard earned money for. More often than not we get so consumed in maintaining the life we have and working toward the life we want that we don't get to enjoy what we have. So, take a minute to stop running around town and move those rubber duckies and bottles of shampoo out of site and make your bathroom a haven in honor of Valentines Day.
Philosophy
Pick up some of these goodies and curl up with a book or your hubby and enjoy a relaxing evening at home..
Carol's Daughter. Bath Salts & Oils make bath time relaxing.

Even Puppy needs some chill time on V~Day   :o)

Valentines Day Countdown Part Deux!

Ladies Night!..

I know a lot of my ladies will be spending V~Day together and I'm all about it!.. Take in a show with the girls, dinner, a movie or a relaxing stress-free spa visit to get in some much need girl talk.. Still no reason to dress it all the way down today. Take this as the moment to feel and look your very best..  :)  (as you should everyday)

Now looking your very best definitely doesn't mean you have to be wearing a formal gown or anything of the like. Jeans and  nice top can give you the everyday glam you're looking for the spend the day with your gal pals.
Here are some picks that will pop with your pink or red lip..

Keep it simple with a bright lip, especially if you aren't too keen on color.. A simple sweater dress or adding a little spice with a new top to go with some of your classic bottoms is all you need to feel like a new you on a low key V~Day with the girls..

To all my girls that are lucky enough to have your gal pal V~Day in warm weather.. These are for you! Don't forget your Pink&Red Pink&Red ...  =)

Just a couple of "cute" pieces to wear during daytime activities. Of course you will need to choose shades that compliment your chosen lip shade. But these will give you a kick-off point..

Now we got Girls Night out!. What happens on Girls Night, Stays between friends. *wink.  If you are taking your V~Day Gal Pal celebration to the nightlife you're my kinda girl. I'm all about getting out for a bit of mingling in the evening.. For the most part its just fun to get dressed and spend time being silly with friends. With your pink or red lip I suggest you make the night sizzle! Why the hell not!??

Hey hotness!!.. Make the best of everyday and enjoy your V~Day. Always!!

Even if you're anti-cupid, the clothes and make-up have got me feeling like shop-ping. You have to admit its a fun time in the winter. ;-)

So my next few blog post will be an ode to all things girly and V~day.. Pink & Red Pink & Red Pink & Red.. lol..

Since Makeup is my deal then we'll start there..
My V~Day Makeup pick is a strong lip.. Effortlessness is key in life.
Flawless skin with a hint of lip color gives you that made-up but effortless look. Try it and let me how it goes.

A solid lip color that compliments your skin tone and personality is what you should go for this V~Day. Your On-the-Go-Girl Makeup bag should include:

Passing it on:: What's hot in fashion news :: Chanel

Since I was a little girl I loved all things fabulous.
I cried to wear dresses, I always carried a purse (paper/pencil/pen for my sketches, my lip gloss and peppermints. a girl was always prepared!..lol ) and my dolls hair was slammin!!..  =)

That said, I'm girly. No denying that! So to all my fellow girly girls and fashion enthusiast, could you image growing up and getting a contract to carry Chanel bags and take pics? What!!?? People are really getting paid to live like this.. Jealous!!..Fabulous makeup, silks and chiffons to die for and bags!.. Bags as far as the eye can see.
As if having access to the Gossip Girl wardrobe wasn't enough Blake Lively is living this fashion girls dream. The G-Girl star is the new face of Chanel  handbags!.. Consider me a hater.. =)  lol. JK of course. But, how Awesome!!!

I'm just still dreaming about if I were Blake... Walking on clouds I say, Walking on clouds..  :)

I wish Blake the best and I'm excited to see what the new Chanel promos will look like, Can't wait! Love it!

The Curly Girls Guide to Going Natural:: Don't be Afraid of the Kitchen

LOL. No pun intended.

So you've decided to grow out your relaxer/chemical straighteners and embrace the volume nature gave you? Kudos to you!
No one said it'd be easy but anything worth having takes some work and loving care. Why would it be different for your hair?  :)

I've been moved to start this series on my beauty blog to constantly give you girls pick me ups and hopefully introduce a new way to keep your tresses tame and manageable.
Today's pick won't warrant a trip to the local superstore or beauty supply, its right in your kitchen cabinet!.. Olive Oil!.. Who doesn't love olive oil? its in that great body butter your use, that face cleanser that your love that leaves your skin soft and full of natural healthy oils.. Well Ladies, go straight to the source!!

After you finished that slammin' dinner grab that bottle and make a move to the sink to scrub up your tresses and give them a good soak of some warm Olive Oil. Especially on a day full of cleaning and fixing up your house give it some time to soak in under a plastic cap and you won't be disappointed.

Olive Oil has to be my fav because its the most versatile of the home hair care treatments. We all have different hair types so there's no definite path to chemical freedom that can be given for each and every one of us. We'll all have to adjust our regimens according to how our specific hair responds. But, Olive Oil is one of those things that crosses all lines, Everybody, Anybody, and their Mama, Grandma and Little brother with the long hair that everybody keeps braiding even though that baby's hair could be cut and save a lot of time..  lol.; can use it to have thoroughly conditioned (not greasy) hair!!.. I just think Olive Oil is awesome and it sure is good with some Italian seasoning a fresh Parmesan to dip my bread.. umm umm goodness!  :)

Stay Tuned for more random rants about my love affair with natural hair care.. Until then,

Peace ~Love

Beat Winter Dryness

Dry skin is a part of Winter, Right? Well, It doesn't have to be!!.. and it ain't good for the glow..  =)

So to combat winter dryness my pick for today is the Aloe Protective Restoring Mask from The Body Shop.

This is one of my fav products because its so easy to end up putting thick oils and moisturizers on your skin in effort to avoid dryness; they just end up clogging your pours and leaving your skin feeling heavy, sticky, and down right blah. This mask is used after you get your skin all squeaky clean and get rid of all the dead skin cells, just cover your face, let it sit for a few and wipe it off with a damp towel.  (Follow with your daily moisturizer/night cream) You will immediately feel the difference and its not time consuming so my On-the-Go-Girls can dig this!

Check it out and let me know how it works for you.  =)

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

Peace ~ Love
